Andie and Blane | Pretty In Pink

Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCarthy used to be the most favorite on-screen “it” couple back when Hollywood’s Brat Pack was still dominating the big screen. It all started when they played the credit roles of Andie Walsh and Bane McDonagh in the 1986 movie Pretty in Pink.

Andie is an underdog young girl at her school. She only has two friends, Iona, and her childhood sweetheart, Duckie. Bane, on the other hand, is her total opposite. He’s one of the most popular guys at the school, who will eventually fall in love with her. From being the so-called loser, Andie got everyone’s attention when she started to have a thing with Bane. You may think this movie is another story about a rich boy who falls in love with a poor girl, but the storyline was reinvented with a twist that no one was expecting.
