The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are the epitome of a happily married couple. They have grown their investments along with a family of five over the last ten years. Although it’s difficult to remember when Kate and William weren’t married, there was a period when their future was far from guaranteed.

According to Battle of Brothers, Prince William and Kate broke up over the phone in 2007. During an hour-long phone chat, Prince William, who was 25 at the time, dumped Kate. When he decided to terminate things, he said he was “uncertain” about their future together. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Prince William has broken up with Kate. In 2004, Prince William stated that they “were both quite young” and decided to end their relationship. Whatever reasons there might have been, the royal couple worked it out and are happy now.
